VPN Bonding

With the ability to improve performance and increase speed between offices our VPN bonding solutions deliver increased productivity and as an added bonus include the built-in ability to automatically failover in the event of a link outage, meaning that your office to office connectivity stays up and running 24/7. Our bonding capabilities work with either Internet based connectivity or MPLS services.

MPLS Reliability

Many organizations have deployed MPLS links for fast office to office connectivity. The downside is the higher cost and reliability issues. What happens if your connection to the MPLS cloud fails? With our Site2Site VPN optimization solutions upon a private MPLS failure our UBM appliances can instantly failover to one, two or more Internet-based VPN links, thus keeping your remote sites up and running.

Remote Client Reliability

Included with our UBM appliances is the ability to connect remote teleworkers to your network via our own VPN client software. Our VPN clients run on any Windows based PC and enable remote access with built-in tunnel failover capabilities so that even in the event of a link failure at the main office, remote users will still be able to access critical resources without making any changes to their existing client configuration.

The questions to ask include: Is your existing VN too slow? Do you require faster downloads between offices? Are you concerned about remote users having reliable access to mission critical applications? The Network-to-Network Optimization solution is unique in that instead of simply trying to "squeeze" more bandwidth out of an already saturated pipe, the EdgeXOS platform actually combines the bandwidth from multiple inexpensive broadband links to produce faster speeds, 99.999% reliability, and greater security.

Key Advantages:

The Network-to-Network Optimizer can dramatically increase the throughput between remote offices by leveraging multiple broadband links. These links can consist of an existing T1 line, and/or DSL, cable, wireless, etc. By combining these WAN connections, the EdgeXOS platform can easily double download speeds between offices without a significant increase in cost.

The Network-to-Network Optimizer reduces the potential for office-to-office downtime by automatically failing over whenever an outage is detected. In the event of a network outage the EdgeXOS platform will automatically re-route traffic over the defined backup tunnels and/or re-weight the traffic over the remaining tunnels in order to optimize connectivity.

The Network-to-Network Optimizer improves security across the Internet by utilizing multiple tunnels. By dividing the traffic across a variety of tunnels which utilize different connection methods the traffic becomes exponentially harder to intercept and decrypt. Organizations which have high security requirements should consider the EdgeXOS platform to ensure network privacy.

VPN Tunnel Bonding

Most "WAN Optimization" products on the market utilize a single tunnel in an attempt to squeeze more traffic across an already saturated link between two sites. The EdgeXOS platform leverages inexpensive broadband links in order to configure multiple tunnels between offices and then bond the traffic across those tunnels in order to drastically improve throughput between offices at an extremely low cost per megabit. Organizations that require more bandwidth between sites should consider this solution. Example: At each office start with a single T1 connection at 1.54Mbps, then add a second 2.5Mbps DSL link. Establish tunnels across each connection between the two offices, total throughput increases to over 4Mbps with built-in QoS and prioritization.

VPN Security & Optimization

Organizations which have an existing VPN but are looking to increase security and/or optimize their existing site-to-site connections should consider the EdgeXOS platform. By utilizing multiple tunnels our Site2Site technology can prioritize traffic across the tunnels while at the same time increase security by splitting the traffic between multiple network paths, thus making traffic interception nearly impossible. The Site2Site tunnel operate using 3DES-Encryption and utilize the latest generation of SSL-technology in order to provide a flexible and highly reliable solution.

Instant MPLS / VPN Failover (<1 second)

Organizations which have an existing MPLS or other private line connection that are looking for a fast and reliable failover solution should consider the EdgeXOS platform. With the ability to continuously probe and detect a point-to-point failure our Site2Site tunneling technology will upon a failure detection automatically bring up one or more backup links across the Internet utilizing secure 3DES encryption. In cases where the EdgeXOS platform already has two existing tunnels and one should fail tunnel traffic can be re-routed in less than a second, thus preventing any data loss between sites.

Remote Client Reliability & Bonding

Do you have remote teleworkers? Do you need reliability for mobile systems? Only the EdgeXOS platform includes our Site2SiteApp for Microsoft Windows systems which automatically failover remote VPN connections in the event of a network outage. Coming soon in our new 5.0 firmware will be the ability to utilize our Site2SiteApp to bond multiple tunnels across cellular links in order to increase throughput for remote and/or mobile systems in order to deliver video and other applications at faster rates to and from remote locations.
