The ability to control web access is key to improved productivity and the avoidance of various liability issues. The EdgeXOS platform solves these problems by delivering one of the most effective web content filtering solutions on the market today.
The EdeXOS platform includes two levels of web filtering, the first is our URL filtering which provides global (non-user based) filtering of web traffic. This filtering is included with every Network Load Balancing appliance with the purchase of platform support.
The second level is our enhanced web threat protection bundle which is included with our Spyware & Web Filtering appliance. This level of protection goes beyond basic URL filtering to include anti-spyware, anti-virus, and malware protection. Both levels provide organizations with an easy way to deploy URL filtering which prevents unauthorized access to objectionable and/or recreational sites along with sites which may provide liability issues. The global URL filter comes standard with these features:

- 48 Categories (Phishing, Pornography, Adware, Gambling, Job Search, etc)
- 5 Detailed Daily, Weekly, Monthly Graphical Reporting
The EdgeXOS appliance combines preventative and reactive filters to protect end-users from accessing unauthorized sites. Along with access control, ALL surfing activity is monitored and recorded. Additionally through our Live Reports a network administrator can see who is accessing what sites in real-time and perform searches based on specific IP addresses and/or URLs.
Web URL Filtering
Our basic URL filter (which is included with our platform maintenance package) has two levels of filtering, the first provides for immediate allowed or denied site access based on rules applied by the network administrator within the appliances URL database, the second utilizes the dynamic and intelligent filter engine to categorize sites in real-time in order to determine whether they should be blocked or not.
The EdgeXOS's URL filtering engine is affordable with no per-user licensing. This means that it can easily be rolled out without worrying about installing clients on each PC or configuring proxy settings. The EdgeXOS's global filtering is 100% transparent to the end-user, no changes are required to begin filtering traffic immediately.
Category Administration / Reporting
The URL management console for the EdgeXOS platform allows administrators to control all aspects of end-user site access, including setting specific allow and deny rules for specific sites. The console can also be used to setup the graphical reporting. These reports are delivered via email and can be generated on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
Reports included: Top 10 Websites Denied, Top 10 Websites Allowed, Top Sites by Category (allowed and denied), and a Web Usage Activity report.
