The email defense solution incorporated in to
the EdgeXOS appliance is powered by MX Logic and provide real-time
email defense and a host of best of breed features and enterprise
class capabilities to secure the network from cloud-based email
attacks.
By integrating with the MXLogic global filtering system the
EdgeXOS platform is able to improve scalability, reliability,
and security of email messages and content for organizations
of all shapes and sizes. The process used by the EdgeXOS platform
to provide its email defense is as follows:
- EdgeXOS Platform Intercepts Inbound Email
- Email Is Scanned Against Blacklists
- Email Is Tested For Denial Of Service Attack
- Email Is Forwarded For Scanning
- Clean Responses Are Redirected To The Customers Email
Server
The entire process takes several seconds. During this time
the email message is filtered through twenty filters, including
the WormTraq filter and triple anti-virus filters.
The EdgeXOS platform continuously monitors network connectivity
and in the event of a network failure can automatically re-route
mail over secondary WAN links.
The management portal provided with the EdgeXOS email defense
system is easy to use and is highly flexible from an administrative
point of view. The mail administrator can also choose how users
and modify their own spam filters, including how to allow and
deny inbound mail to their own mailboxes, thus reducing the
administrators workload.
Detailed Email Message Reporting
With the EdgeXOS platform scanning and redirecting
messages to the MXLogic filters a host of reporting analysis
